Sample Letters on Current Issues

This site doesn't include all of the most current issues, but you may find the letters at this site helpful as you write your letters about various issues. For a listing of the most current and urgent issues, see the NRLC Legislative Action Center and other pro-life sites that help you contact your elected officials.

The sample letters for the issues below don't necessarily follow all of the Tips for Writing Letters to Elected Officials; rather, they're bases that you may edit as you wish. Please don't feel that you have to spend any more time than you can afford personalizing the sample letters; don't let perfectionism keep you from getting letters in the mail. (When a sample letter deals with two related bills, by all means, feel free to write two separate letters; the more letters we send, the better.) After you contact your elected officials regarding the legislation in the first two areas below, please also contact them regarding the issues in the third area. The third area also has timely issues and a lot of food for thought regarding bills already in Congress. And it's never too soon to communicate about matters that the President and Congress are thinking about, even if those issues haven't been assigned bill numbers yet.
